Our Motivation for This Site

We have personal experience with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, particularly childhood OCD.  I have seen that look of extreme pain in my child's eyes. I have seen the desperation and, as a father, I have felt my own desperation and sometimes despair.  We want others to have the same hope that we have found. Thus, this site, created by a father & son team.

Have Hope!  OCD is a very treatable illness!

Here is the good news that many of you may need to hear. 

My son has conquered his OCD!  After finding a fine and capable Psychologist at a not-so-nearby children's hospital and nearly a year of (mostly) weekly CBT / ERP treatment, my son is symptom free.  He still struggles somewhat with comorbid social anxiety but is working hard to also overcome that.

The credit goes to the hard work and determination of my son!  He did his CBT / ERP homework - no matter how distressful.

I really hope parents and kids find this site and also find some hope.  Seek out the right help and you really can get better.  My son is living proof.

Sorry that the site has not been updated in months - we have, with a great big sigh, turned our attention to other things!

We are going to leave this site up in case it is helpful to even a few who are desperately searching for relief.   I am encouraging my son to take over the development and maintenance of the site.  I think he can provide great and personal insight to others suffering from OCD.
