It is our vision, our mission, our passion to help parents and children master obsessive compulsive disorder.
This site, both the products and services, have been created by father and son. The son was diagnosed with OCD at age 13 and is receiving effective treatmentwith CBT / ERP. It is our sincere desire to help others who are looking for answers.
It is our understanding, after months of reading, research and Internet searching, that CBT / ERP (cognitive behavior therapy and exposure response prevention) is the ONLY EVIDENCE BASED treatment that has been scientifically proven to be effective in helping a child (or adult) control OCD. Perhaps more importantly, based on our own personal experience, we believe in the effectiveness of CBT / ERP and Bossing Back OCD. Thus, this site. We want to help others learn about this treatment, find competent help (very difficult), and BOSS BACK OCD!
Additionally, while we were searching for resources on the Internet, most of what we found were sites that, in our opinion, simply prey on the desperation of parents. Despicable! As you are probably aware, much of what is out there on the Internet is a collection of links to other sites, promotion of questionable products, and sites that are almost purely advertising with no value-added content.
One of our goals is to develop CBT / ERP Boss Back related software that is either completely free or at least very affordable.
We do have some advertising here, but we try and will try to keep that to a minimum. Why? Well, it does cost money to run this site and we hope to develop software and other materials to provide OCD help to others.
